Acceptable Use Policy
This policy says what may not be delivered through CacheGenie, what may not be done with it, and what happens when something breaks the rules. It is part of the agreement the Terms of Service set out, and applies to every zone on an account and to everyone who uses it.
What you may not deliver
- Anything illegal under the law of the United Kingdom or of a country you deliver it to.
- Child sexual abuse material, intimate images shared without consent, extreme pornography as UK law defines it, and content that promotes terrorism. These are stopped on sight and reported where the law requires.
- Material that infringes someone else's copyright, trade mark or other rights, or that you have no right to distribute.
- Malware, phishing pages, or anything built to defraud, deceive or harm the people who receive it.
- Material that harasses, threatens or incites violence against a person or a group.
Adult material
Lawful adult material may be delivered. You are responsible for its legality in every country you deliver it to, for age assurance wherever the law requires it, and for labelling it so that viewers and their software can tell what it is. What the list above prohibits is prohibited whatever the audience.
What you may not do
- Attack, probe, overload or interfere with our network, another client's zone, or any origin, or use the service to do so to anyone else.
- Evade blocking rules, billing, rate limits or any other limit of the service, or help someone else to.
- Use the service, signed links or the API to give others access you do not hold, or resell it as your own without our written agreement.
- Deliver content from an origin you are not entitled to use.
Reporting abuse
Abuse and copyright reports says how to report something delivered through CacheGenie, what a copyright notice must contain, and what we do with a report.
What happens on a breach
Every report and every decision under this policy is reviewed by a person on our team; we use no automated tools to moderate content. Where material is plainly unlawful, or the risk to viewers, to other clients or to our network is immediate, we pause the zone or suspend the account at once. Otherwise we tell you what is wrong, at the addresses your account has ticked for Abuse emails, and give you two working days to fix it or to tell us why it should stay.
If it is not fixed we pause the zone or suspend the account, and for a serious or repeated breach we end the agreement. We tell you by email what we have done and why, unless the law forbids it, and you can ask us to look again by replying. Fees for a suspended period remain due, and a minimum commitment for a month in which the account was suspended for a breach is not refunded. We keep a record of reports and of what was done, and we cooperate with courts, regulators and law enforcement.
Changes
We may update this policy as the Terms of Service allow. It was last updated on 30 September 2026.
